Curating Learning
In today's information rich and dynamic environments, the role of the managers in developing employee learning may be better understood as a curator of learning. Directing attention to, providing resources for, and removing practical and psychological barriers to, learning serve employee development. Old models in which the manager was the expert and responsible for coaching and feedback may be outdates as teams become more diverse and employees become more expert.
